Founders Day (formerly Fruitland Park Days) is March 15 and loads of fun!

Fruitland Park Founders Day starts at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 15 and doesn’t end until the last bull is bucked at the Bulls & Barrels Rodeo at Windy Acres Farm around 9 p.m.

Fruitland Park Recreation Director Michelle Yoder and her army of volunteers have planned a whole day of fun for the whole family. And everything up to the Rodeo is free.

Starts with a Parade at 10 a.m.

You’d never think a little city like Fruitland Park could mount much of a Parade. You’d be wrong. Fruitland Park is famous for its parades, and this year’s Founders Day Parade will be no different. It starts at 10 a.m. at City Hall, 506 W. Berckman Street. Ideally, the Parade will end up at the same place. So now you know where the best seats might be.

And that’s not all. Team Yoder has a whole day of family fun planned. A children’s train ride. Face Painting. Bounce houses. Anbd live music all day with DJ Dru!

The Cutest Kids Contest starts at noon.

Dueling Pianos starts at 1 p.m.—funny, fun and fascinating all at the same time. Presented by 176 Fun Key Pianos.

So join us. It’s all free.

About the rodeo—starts at 7 p.m.—see our full coverage tomorrow. You won’t want to m,iss it. Rodeo Tickets are $10 in advance (at Fruitland Park Cafe and Boot Barn) and $12 at the door. Kids under 10 get in free!
